When the Persian empire began they started out polytheistic, but after the 600 century they started to follow Zoroastrianism. Zoroastrianism was one of the earliest religions, and was based on the god ahura Mazda. Ahura Mazda was the leader of all good things and was believed to be taken up to heaven, and he said that he saw another being Ahura Mainyu who was basically the leader of basically everything bad.Because of this ahura mazda invited all humans to vote on good or evil which mean that Zoroastrianism was a very “ethical religion” which means that humans can have the choice between good and evil with a free right. Zoroastrianism is a lot like christianity, heaven and hell and for Zoroastrianism you would either go to the good side Ahura Mazda or the evil bad side like hell ahura mainyu. This helped a lot which made people think if they did something bad it was like representing ahura mainyu so persia was a very peaceful place .This region contains both monotheistic and dualistic features and A practise in Persia was that once you reach the age of 7 you must wear a sacred shirt (sadre) for your whole life.
